Tryon, NC Housing Market Trends

With a population of 1,595, 855 total housing units (homes and apartments), and a median house value of $469,923, Tryon real estate prices are well above average cost compared to national prices.

Single-family detached homes are the single most common housing type in Tryon, accounting for 60.79% of the town's housing units. Other types of housing that are prevalent in Tryon include large apartment complexes or high rise apartments ( 24.40%), duplexes, homes converted to apartments or other small apartment buildings ( 11.37%), and a few row houses and other attached homes ( 2.92%).

The most prevalent building size and type in Tryon are three and four bedroom dwellings, chiefly found in single-family detached homes. The town has a mixture of owners and renters, with 55.02% owning and 44.98% renting.
