Shamokin is a somewhat small city located in the state of Pennsylvania. With a population of 6,838 people and three associated neighborhoods, Shamokin is the 188th largest community in Pennsylvania. Much of the housing stock in Shamokin was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic cities in the country.
